I will stamp all over 'legitimate boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight-bout match which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to promote next month's heavyweight fight.

Ex two time world title holder Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami arena on December 19th.

Boxer's Attitude

"I will break his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show my superiority," Joshua, 35, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I intend to really want to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of those words, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically known for his dramatics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul instead targeted ex Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "ridiculous" after Ngannou declined a bout proposal.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, criticized UK rival Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] outshines Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua stated.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he said.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or faded names since turning professional.

He lost to Briton Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

Nevertheless, the novice remains one of boxing's biggest commercial attractions, regularly earning substantial earnings.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old forecast a knockout win in rounds four or five and claimed he would prevent the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly in the works for 2026.

"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.

Physical Disparity

As the two fighters engaged in the traditional confrontation, with their size difference evident, it emphasized just how surprising this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the match is actually proceeding.
